Spring has arrived at Piries Place, and we’re excited to welcome you to our line-up of vibrant events this May bank holiday weekend. Whether you’re a dedicated vegan, a lover of live music, or simply seeking some family-friendly activities, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Spring Workshop: Potting and Planting with Sussex Green Living
Saturday, May 4th, 11am – 4pm
Join Sussex Green where they’ll be showcasing their commitment to sustainability from their converted milk float. Families are invited to participate in two free potting and planting workshops at 11:30am and 3:00pm.
At these workshops, visitors can plant seeds in peat-free compost using recycled pots and decorate upcycled milk cartons. Choose from a selection of sunflower seeds, wildflower seeds, or dwarf French beans.
Don’t miss out on the chance to win prizes! The first fifty children to complete the ‘Eco Living Quiz’ will receive a special takeaway gift. Plus, enjoy entertainment throughout the day from Keith Ellis of Movingsounds, who will be engaging the crowd with interactive games and music.
Vegan Fest Horsham will be on hand, offering delicious recipes, samples, and advice on adopting a vegetarian and vegan lifestyle. Additionally, FairKind Child will have a pop-up stall featuring wooden toys, books, and a range of sustainable children’s products to browse.
Sunday Jam: Pop-up Live Music Across the Square
Sunday, May 5th, 11am – 4pm
Relax and unwind with back to back live music in the square. The event will feature talented local musicians performing a variety of genres, ensuring there’s something for everyone. Starting with soulful melodies from acoustic singer Artie Godden to upbeat tunes from Big Notes Choir and finishing with the tropical sounds of Steel Tribe.
Sit back and enjoy the live music on the ready and waiting deck chairs. As the afternoon approaches, indulge in a crafted cocktail or two and delicious bites from the restaurants and bars across the square offering special bank holiday promotions.
Vegan Market with Live Music by Acoustic Singer Artie Godden

Round out the month with another Vegan Market featuring live music by acoustic singer Artie Godden. Explore a variety of vegan delights while enjoying the soothing sounds of Artie’s music.
